Insurance Fraud: Man Accused Of Reporting His Car Stolen After Selling It

Erie police have charged a Florida man with scamming his by claiming his pickup truck was stolen in the city in August.
Munkhbold A. Enkhtaivan, 34, of New Port Richey, Fla., is free on $20,000 unsecured bond following his arraignment Wednesday by Erie 1st Ward District Judge Sue Mack on felony counts of , theft by deception and receiving stolen property.
Police accuse Enkhtaivan of selling a pickup truck to another person for $17,900, then reporting to his in August that the truck was stolen and receiving $18,250.28 from the , Lt. Dan Spizarny wrote in the criminal complaint.
